PRECONFERENCE SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS
Attendees were able to sign up for one preconference seminar or workshop prior to the main program, which provided in-depth information regarding specific aspects of RFID and Electronic Product Code (EPC) technologies. Each seminar began with the following session:
Item-Level Retail and Apparel Workshop
Retailers worldwide are employing RFID to track individual items, thereby improving inventory accuracy and enabling them to have products on shelves when customers want to buy them. During this workshop, attendees learned where the benefits are and how to achieve them, and received an update on the GS1 US Item Level RFID Initiative, which is helping to develop standard ways of deploying the technology and best practices.
